The Logo
Central to the logo are three pillars, each representing one of the high schools in the Dons tradition: Cathedral Girls High School, University of San Diego High School, and Cathedral Catholic High School. These three pillars not only honor the legacy of each institution but also embody the concept of recognition and distinction, representing the exceptional alumni and friends who have made significant contributions to their communities.
The pillars are arranged in an ascending formation, which symbolizes the upward journey of giving glory to God. This visual progression reflects the idea that through their actions, these distinguished individuals lift others and honor their faith. The upward movement also evokes the aspiration to greater heights of service, virtue, and spiritual fulfillment. Together, these elements convey the Association's mission to celebrate those who positively impact the world while remaining rooted in the shared traditions of Catholic education.

Visual Identity
The visual identity of the Academy of Distinguished Dons was designed to evoke a sense of sophistication and prestige, drawing inspiration from the elegance and grandeur of the Oscars. This refined aesthetic reflects the high honor and distinction bestowed upon the alumni and friends recognized by the Academy. To achieve this, the design incorporates rich, dark tones, which convey a sense of timelessness and formal recognition, paired with the school's signature colors of red and gold. These colors not only symbolize the pride and tradition of the Dons but also enhance the overall luxurious and celebratory feel of the visual identity. The combination of dark hues with the vibrant accents of red and gold creates a powerful contrast, capturing both the solemnity of the occasion and the joy of honoring those who have made significant contributions to Catholic education and their communities.
